Day 01 : Arrive in Auckland
Meet and assist at the Auckland airport and escort you to your hotel, where you can get a good night's rest.
Day 02 :

Auckland / Waitomo Caves / Rotorua
After you have enjoyed a good breakfast, a  Car Rental representative will deliver your rental car to your hotel. You begin your Drive & See NZ holiday by driving South over the Bombay Hills and following New Zealand's mighty Waitako River to arrive in Hamilton.

You may consider deviating South and travelling via the Waitomo Caves. where you can enjoy a quiet, underground boat ride, and witness the spectacle of thousands of glow-worms twinkling in the dark.

From the Waitomo caves, you will traverse the picturesque Mamaku Ranges and descend to Rotorua. You have the rest of the day free to discover the town.

Day 03 :

After breakfast, you have the day free to discover this spectacular wonderland. You could wander around bubbling mud pools and see the famous Pohutu Geyser at the Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, attend a Maori Concert at a traditional marae (meeting ground) or watch the world famous Sheep Show at the Agrodome. The adventurer in you has the option of enjoying an excursion to Mt. Tarawera or a white-water rafting trip, before returning to your hotel for a good night's rest.

Day 04 :

Rotorua / Christchurch
After breakfast, you will drive to Rotorua Airport where you will return your vehicle and check in for your onward flight to Christchurch. On arrival at Christchurch, a representative from Car Rental will give you a replacement car for the South Island section of your journey. You have the afternoon free to to explore this most "English of citys". Spend the night at your hotel in Christchurch.

Day 05 :

Christchurch / Mt Cook
Drive out of Christchurch and travel south against a backdrop of the Southern Alps as you cross the Canterbury Plains. Once you reach the town of Geraldine, you will start climbing towards Burkes Pass. Your journey today takes you around the shores of the picturesque Lake Tekapo and along the shoreline of Lake Pukaki, to reach Mt. Cook village. Spend the night at your hotel in Mt. Cook.

Day 06 :

Mt Cook / Dunedin
This morning, you have time to visit the Mt. Cook National Park. You could take a scenic flight over the Alps before you leave Mount Cook and travel across the tussock lands of the Mackenzie Basin. You will drive though Omarama and follow the Waitaki river to Oamaru, with its fine whitestone buildings. Your route will take you on to the tranquil Blue Skin Bay and over Mt. Cargill to Dunedin. You will spend the night at your hotel in Dunedin.

Day 07 :

Dunedin / Te Anau
You have the morning at leisure to explore Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula with its abundant wildlife. You will drive across Saddle Hill to Mosgiel and the Taieri Plains. Drive around Lake Waihola and continue over the rolling South Otago farmland to Gore. Leaving the main highway, you will proceed on to Lumsden and Mossburn, before reaching Te Anau, the gateway to Milford Sound, New Zealand's prized Fiord. Rest easy in your hotel in Te Anau.

Day 08 :
Te Anau / Milford Sound / Queenstown
Today you will drive through the Eglinton Valley with its hanging glacier valleys, pristine temperate rainforest and towering mountain peaks. You will drive through the Homer Tunnel to arrive at the spectacular Milford Sound. You could take a cruise on the Sound to see cascading waterfalls, sea life and towering rock faces, which rise to over 5000 ft. Drive back to Te Anau and then cross over Southland's fertile farmlands to reach Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown. Spend the night in your hotel in Queenstown.
Day 09 :
Today, you have the day at leisure to explore this charming town. You could take an excursion to Skippers Canyon, enjoy a cruise on the historic steamer Earnslaw on Lake Wakatipu or high-action ride on the Shotover Jet. The adventurer in you may consider may consider parapenting (cliff jumping with a parachute) off Bobs Peak, white water rafting, or a thrilling bungy jump. Your stay in Queenstown includes a cable-car
(gondola) ride to Bob's with magnificent alpine views. Enjoy a good night's rest in your hotel in Queenstown.
Day 10 :
Queenstown / Glaciers
Today, you will leave Queenstown and travel down the Kawarau Gorge. Arriving at Cromwell , you will drive past Lakes Dunstan, Hawea and Wanaka. Entering the Westland forest, the highway climbs to the summit of Haast Pass. Surrounded by cascading waterfalls and lofty peaks, the route crosses the Haast River to join the coast. You will pass serene lakes and virgin forests to reach the Franz Josef Glacier.
Day 11 :
Glaciers / Christchurch
This morning you have time to visit the famed Franz Josef Glaciers. Your route will then take you across numerous rivers and through tall stands of Beech forest, en route to Greymouth. Here, you will return your rental car and board the TranzAlpine train for one of the World's premier rail trips. The tain journey takes you past Lake Brunner and through dense bush to arrive at Otira. Exiting the tunnel at Arthur's Pass, the railway hugs the banks of the Waimakariri River before reaching the plains and Christchurch.
Day 12 :
Tour ends
After breakfast, you can drive to the Christchurch Airport, where you can return the car  and catch your flight out of Christchurch.
